A migrant crossing the border into Arizona made an ominous threat, saying, “Soon, you’re gonna know who I am,” according to an independent journalist.

The Texas Military Department seized a city-owned golf course located in the busiest border crossing point along the Rio Grande. The Texas National Guard then ejected U.S. Border Patrol agents from the park and took total control of this section of the U.S.-Mexico border.

Border Patrol agents apprehended nearly 16,000 Chinese migrants who crossed the border between ports of entry since the new fiscal year began on October 1, according to unofficial reports reviewed by Breitbart Texas. This number is nearly two-thirds of the Chinese migrants apprehended during the entire Fiscal Year 23, which ended on September 30.

Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officials report the apprehension of nearly 35,000 migrants during the last two weeks of December. At about the same time, Tucson Sector officials reported apprehending more than 30,000 migrants.

Although the pace of migrant crossings has slowed in recent days, on Wednesday, Johnson made clear the responsibility for the record-breaking crossings at the border falls directly on the President’s failed policies.

A nearby soft-sided processing facility designed to accommodate 1,000 migrants that has routinely held nearly 6,000 during the month is now holding less than 500.

For the first time ever, migrant encounters along the southern border exceeded 300,000 in a single month, according to a report citing unofficial CBP sources. The report states December was the highest month in history for migrant encounters along the southwest border.

With non-government migrant shelters at capacity and closed for the New Year’s Day holiday, the Border Patrol was forced to release migrants directly onto the streets of Eagle Pass. Most of the migrants huddled outside a local transportation company, hoping to make a quick exit from the small border city. The transportation hub is only a block from an official port of entry that has been closed for weeks due to the latest border surge hitting the small community of 30,000 residents.

A San Diego Sector Border Patrol agent rescued an injured female migrant nearly 1,000 feet up a steep mountainside in the Otay Mountains in southern California. The woman became injured and was unable to make the steep climb to safety.

Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 22,000 migrants during the week before Christmas, according to officials. In addition, another nearly 1,600 migrants were reported as known got-aways.

Swanton Sector Border Patrol agents rescued three Mexican migrants who illegally crossed the Canadian border into New York on December 9, according to information received this week from CBP officials. The migrants all suffered injury from exposure to the wintery conditions and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

The overwhelming surge of migrants crossing the Rio Grande forced the busiest border sector in Texas to close Border Patrol stations so personnel may be reassigned to migrant processing and transportation duties. According to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection source, the announcement came on Friday, ordering managers to cease operations at stations in Carrizo Springs, Comstock, Uvalde, and Brackettville, Texas.

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 19,000 migrants during the third week of December. This brings the monthly total to nearly 57,000 migrants with ten days to go.

As the Biden administration’s border crisis continues in record-shattering numbers, Border Patrol agents must also deal with migrant deaths and rescues. Police in New York arrested a Tunisian migrant for allegedly attempting to purchase a five-year-old child from her mother. Buffalo Sector Border Patrol agents arrested the 62-year-old man after determining he was illegally present in the United States after overstaying his visa.

Biden administration officials have privately told lawmakers that an average of 5,000 illegal migrants are released into the U.S. each day, and more than 670,000 evaded Border Patrol in fiscal year 2023, Fox News reported Saturday.

As each bus carrying migrants released by the Border Patrol arrived at the center on Wednesday, a simultaneous flow of buses, taxis, and travel vans shuttled newly released migrants to other destinations farther inland — some destined for the Tucson International Airport to begin their journey to cities across the nation.

Border Patrol agents in the Del Rio Sector apprehended more than 3,000 migrants during a 24-hour period this week. The surge of migrants is overwhelming Border Patrol resources in the area, leading to the closure of an international crossing point and migrants being forced to camp out in the cold while they await transportation for processing.

With processing facilities more than three times over capacity, the rush of migrants flowing into the small city of Eagle Pass has resulted in migrants being sheltered in an open field near the city’s only open port of entry. According to a source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Border Patrol is now forced to detain migrants outdoors at almost all facilities and near the Camino Real International Bridge II in the heart of the downtown area.

The migrant surge continues to increase in the Tucson Sector where agents apprehended more than 17,000 migrants during the last week of November. Since the new fiscal year began on October 1, Tucson Sector agents encountered nearly 119,000 migrants, according to unofficial Border Patrol reports reviewed by Breitbart Texas.

According to a source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the constant flow of migrants into the Tucson Border Patrol Sector has quickly depleted CBP resources in the area. The sector, according to the source, is detaining more than 4,000 migrants in holding facilities designed to detain 2,669.

Eagle Pass, Texas, Mayor Rolando Salinas took to social media this weekend to express his frustration with the surge of migrants flooding into his small city. With most border facilities facing overcrowding and limited transportation resources to serve the remote area, many migrants are spending days sleeping in the desert, hoping to gain their freedom into the United States to pursue asylum claims.
