Prosecutor: Nine Charged as Looting Surges in Wake of L.A. Wildfires

As if the wildfires laying waste to vast areas of Los Angeles aren’t enough to confront embattled residents, there is another threat that also challenges them in their fight to survive and rebuild. Nine people have now been charged in relation to looting in evacuation zones around the fire zones, the area’s chief prosecutor said Monday.

Cartel Gunmen Abduct Innocent Laborers in Mexican Border State

A concerning trend is taking place in the central part of the border state of Tamaulipas as the Gulf Cartel has begun to abduct innocent laborers on their way to work. Authorities have been unable to provide answers to the cases while government officials continue to falsely claim that the region is safe and that “impunity has ended.”

DHS Chief Alejandro Mayorkas Seeks to Kill Laken Riley Act

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is reportedly attempting to kill the Laken Riley Act, a bill that requires the DHS to take illegal aliens who have been charged, arrested, or convicted for crimes such as theft, larceny, burglary or shoplifting into custody.
