Exclusive: 600 Migrants Cross into Texas Border Town in Single Group on Thanksgiving

The migrant crossings in Eagle Pass, Texas, did not show any signs of slowing on Thanksgiving Day as a single group of more than 600 migrants entered the small border city in the early morning hours. As most American families gathered for a Thanksgiving feast and a day of NFL football, Border Patrol agents were, once again, tied up with processing a large migrant group crossing.

Escaped Migrant Arrested in Texas for Possession of Firearm near Border

A Honduran migrant was arrested for the alleged possession of a firearm by the Eagle Pass Police Department but managed to escape shortly after that. The migrant reportedly climbed through the rear window of a police unit while handcuffed and fled from the scene of his arrest on Monday. Officers responded quickly to the escape and managed to recapture the migrant in short order.

Exclusive: 1800 Migrants Cross into Texas Border Town in 24 Hours

After a brief slowdown in migrant crossings into the small border town of Eagle Pass, Texas, nearly 1,800 migrants were apprehended between Thursday evening and Friday afternoon, according to a source within CBP. Border Patrol agents assigned to the two stations located in the city responded to multiple large migrant groups crossing into the heart of downtown Eagle Pass and points farther south of the city.

EAGLE PASS, Texas — A single group of 169 mostly Venezuelan migrants crossed the Rio Grande and entered the small border town of Eagle Pass on Thursday afternoon. Although migrant crossings have slowed during the month of October, the Border Patrol’s Del Rio Sector is still encountering more than 1,100 migrants crossing the Rio Grande daily, according to a source within CBP.

An estimated 1,500 mostly Venezuelan migrants entered the small border town of Eagle Pass, Texas,  during the late evening hours on Tuesday. The latest group of migrants to surrender to authorities brings the eight-day total of migrant crossings to more than 16,000. It took ten full days in September 2021 for 15,000 mostly Haitian migrants to ford the river during the infamous immigration surge in Del Rio.

1,800 Migrants Pour into Texas Border Town in Single Day as Crisis Continues

According to a source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, nearly 1,800 migrants were apprehended entering the small Texas border town of Eagle Pass, Texas, on Monday. Nearly 1,400 migrants made landfall along the Rio Grande in the heart of the downtown area. The migrants were quickly moved to a Border Patrol processing facility that is already nearly five times over its capacity of 1,000 migrants.

Biden Admin Stops Legal Border Entries as Illegal Crossings Surge in Texas Town

Customs and Border Protection ordered the shutdown of one port of entry, the Eagle Pass International Bridge 1, and the second busiest international railway crossing in Texas. The closures were the response from the Biden administration to nearly 9,000 migrant crossings in the small Texas border town in five days. The port of entry closure resulted in a log jam of traffic for commuters on both sides of the border.

Exclusive: Migrant Released by Biden Admin Arrested for Texas Border Town Murder

A migrant released by the Biden administration to pursue an asylum claim was arrested by Texas Rangers as a suspect in the murder of a Houston man in Eagle Pass, Texas, on Monday. According to a source within CBP, the murder suspect, Roberto Emilio Vasquez-Santamaria, a 64-year-old Peruvian national, was released by Border Patrol to a non-government shelter in the city on May 9, 2023.

In what has become an almost daily occurrence, a large group of more than 100 migrants crossed the Rio Grande just north of Eagle Pass to surrender to awaiting Border Patrol agents during the early morning hours on Friday. Shortly after 4:00 a.m., Breitbart Texas watched as the large group of mostly family unit migrants approached a rallying point staffed by the Border Patrol, where they surrendered to claim asylum.

Border Patrol agents responded to a 911 call from a migrant on a ranch suffering from heat exhaustion only to find the migrant had succumbed to the exposure to the elements. According to a source within Customs and Border Protection, the incident tells the tale of migrants who seek to avoid apprehension at all costs and wait too long to call for emergency assistance when they become too ill to continue their trek.
