Sex Offenders, Gang Members Arrested After Crossing Texas Border

Border Patrol agents and CBP officers in South Texas arrested multiple deported sex offenders, a fugitive accused of rape, and two MS-13 gang members. The arrests come as agents in Texas-based border sectors face a massing surge in migrants illegally entering the United States.

42 Migrants Found in Three Crowded Texas Stash Houses near Border

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents teamed up with local law enforcement and other federal agents to disrupt three human smuggling stash houses near the Texas border with Mexico. Agents apprehended 42 migrants over two days in three stash houses — none were wearing masks or other protective gear to prevent the spread of  COVID-19.

39 Rescued from Human Stash House near Border in Texas

A tip from a concerned citizen in Rio Bravo, Texas, led to the rescue of 39 migrants warehoused near the Rio Grande. None of the people packed into the small house had personal protection equipment to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Five Migrants Rescued from Dehydration Along Texas Border

Border Patrol agents in South Texas carried out multiple rescues of migrants as summertime temperatures approached the century mark. Agents rescued at least four who became distressed or dehydrated after illegally crossing the border from Mexico and one who suffered a snake bite while attempting to sneak around an interior immigration checkpoint.

Three Deported Child Molesters Arrested After Illegally Crossing into Texas

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents arrested three previously deported child molesters after they illegally crossed the border from Mexico into Texas. This marks the eleventh time this fiscal year that agents in this sector have stopped illegal aliens convicted of sex crimes against children from successfully making their way into the U.S. interior.

33 Migrants Recovered from Texas Stash House near Border

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents recovered a large group of migrants being held in a stash house near the Texas border with Mexico. Border Patrol agents teamed up with Webb County Constable’s Office deputies and special agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) to carry out the raid.

Stolen Firearms Recovered by Border Patrol in Texas

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents seized two stolen firearms in as many incidents near the U.S.-Mexico Border in South Texas. The two incidents led to the recovery of a stolen rifle and pistol in two consecutive days.

120 Bangladeshi Migrants Apprehended at Texas Border Since Oct 1

Border Patrol agents assigned to the Laredo Sector captured eight additional Bangladeshi nationals who illegally crossed the border from Mexico over the Thanksgiving weekend. The arrests bring the total for the new fiscal year, which began October 1, to more than 120.
