Diet Google: DuckDuckGo Will ‘Down-Rank’ What It Decides Is ‘Disinformation’

Popular privacy-focused search engine DuckDuckGo, commonly considered an alternative to Google, has announced that it will be “down-ranking” sites associated with “disinformation,” along with adding “information boxes” to “highlight quality information.” The announcement received widespread backlash from DuckDuckGo supporters, who view the changes as adopting the censorship policies of the Masters of the Universe.

Spotify Censors Episodes of Joe Rogan’s Podcast – Again

Spotify has mass-deleted at least 70 episodes of the Joe Rogan Experience as the platform faces further calls to remove Rogan’s show from its platform. The deletions have nothing to do with coronavirus “misinformation” as they primarily date from before the pandemic, including shows with anti-woke academic Gad Saad, director Kevin Smith, and comedian and podcaster Theo Von. This is not the first time that Spotify has censored episodes of the show since signing a megadeal with the comedian.

Tumblr Escalates Censorship to Placate Apple

Blogging platform Tumblr, once a powerhouse of content for millennials, has censored a wide swathe of hashtags on its Apple iOS app, in what the social media company says is an effort to remain within the Apple App Store’s community guidelines. Some of the censored terms include “girl,” “suicide prevention,” and “testicular cancer.”

Twitter Crackdown: American Principles Project Executive Censored for Criticizing the Mutilation of Kids

Earlier this week, Twitter censored Jon Schweppe, policy director for the pro-family American Principles Project, who criticized the “evil gender ideology” pushing the “chemical castration and surgical mutilation of minors suffering from gender dysphoria.” The Masters of the Universe locked Scheppe’s account on the grounds that his post is “hate speech.”

Just one day after Jack Dorsey was replaced as the CEO of Twitter by the company’s former CTO, Parag Agrawal, the platform has banned the sharing of any images or videos of people without their explicit consent. The far-left company stated:  “The misuse of private media can affect everyone, but can have a disproportionate effect on women, activists, dissidents, and members of minority communities.”

Bouncer and Banhammer: Facebook’s Internal Terms for Censoring Users Exposed

As further internal Facebook documents leak, internal company code words and terms used to refer to users and issues have been revealed. Some of the 35 internal terms revealed relate specifically to censoring and punishing users, such as “bouncer,” which is an internal tool used by the company’s “integrity team” to crack down on pages or lists of users.
