Gina Carano’s ‘Mandalorian’ Co-Star Pedro Pascal Also Compared Modern U.S. Politics to Holocaust

The Walt Disney Co. dropped actress and MMA star Gina Carano from its hit Disney+ series The Mandalorian on Thursday, caving to a cancel campaign after the actress compared the current political climate to Nazi Germany on social media. Disney Under Heavy Fire After Lucasfilm Drops Actress Gina Carano. #CancelDisneyPlus Becomes Top Trending Topic on Twitter

The hashtag #CancelDisneyPlus became a top trend late Wednesday on Twitter after Lucasfilm fired actress Gina Carano from the cast of the popular Disney Plus-Star Wars spinoff series “The Mandalorian.” Her firing came after Carano shared a social media post that critics say downplayed the experience of Jews during the Holocaust.
