“McLaughlin Group” host John McLaughlin declared “the hunky-dory with Obamacare” is “super spin” on Friday. McLaughlin stated, “The best spin of the year: the hunky-dory with Obamacare, the health co-ops are closing down, major insurers like UnitedHealthcare may pull out of

The revolting $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill Republicans dumped on their astonished voters has one – possibly only one – bright spot: the bailout corridors for ObamaCare remain blocked. If Democrats were able to soak taxpayers to keep Obama’s health care disaster floating, they’d do it in a hot second.

No “fixes” to ObamaCare should be permitted – full repeal is the only answer, and Democrats must be forced to accept it. Until then, they and their union allies should be made to feel every second of the agony they deserve, without release or reprieve. It is sheer political madness for any Republican to intervene on their behalf, especially when so many of the GOP’s constituents are suffering from lost insurance plans, soaring premiums, exploding out-of-pocket costs, and lost access to their doctors.

One of the myths that always needs bursting is that Big Business hates big government’ regulations, and supposedly prefers small-government Republicans to keep Uncle Sam off its back.

When America’s largest insurance provider, UnitedHealth Group, announced disastrous losses due to ObamaCare and started talking about exiting from the program last week, I wondered if they, along with other companies grumbling about ObamaCare red ink, might be looking for a bailout.

The departure of UnitedHealth Group could be the death blow not even ObamaCare’s most stubborn and dishonest defenders can spin away.

Not a single promise has been kept, health insurance is objectively worse than it was before Barack Obama got his hands on it, and enrollment is only half what we were promised. The last detail is key, because low enrollment means everything bad about ObamaCare is going to get much worse in the years ahead, if we don’t kill it now.

One hundred and fifty years after the end of the Civil War, it is becoming increasingly clear that there are two Americas—one where the principles of constitutionally limited government and individual liberty are still revered, the other where statism and the trampling of individual rights are on the rise. Widespread resistance at the state level, however, will require two elements: strong governors and strong state legislatures willing to vigorously assert their 10th amendment rights.

“Obamacare itself destroys true insurance and places additional crushing burdens on those who provide actual care,” said Dr. Jane Orient, executive director of AAPS, in a press release. “This can’t be fixed by forcing taxpayers to pay a chunk of some people’s unaffordable premiums. What the Court has done is to further undermine the rule of law.”

Freedom means the ability to change course, correct mistakes, withdraw consent, repeal laws, and build arguments. The Left wants you to think nothing is over until they win, at which point it’s over forever, and it should probably be a crime to even suggest otherwise. Do not listen to them. Look at a decision like King v. Burwell the way they would: as the beginning of a fight, not the end.
