Pulitzer Prize-Winning Art Critic Pans Hunter Biden’s Overpriced Paintings: You Wouldn’t ‘Spend More than $1,000’ on Them

Sebastian Smee, a Pulitzer Prize-winning art critic at the Washington Post, suggested the art world is not wholly impressed by Hunter Biden’s latest venture but said a “few people” are looking to make money “from his notoriety.” He likened the scandal-plagued son to a “cafe painter” whose work would not go for more than $1,000 unless the buyer was “related to the artist.”

Seattle Teacher Tells 8th Graders that Peace Is ‘Racist,’ Art History Is ‘White Supremacist’

An art teacher at Tops at Seward School in Seattle, Washington told her eighth-grade students that the concept of peace is “racist,” and that President Donald Trump is divisive, adding that some of her own art projects are “racist” and derived from “white privilege.” The teacher added that art history comes from a “European, euro-centric ‘white supremacist’ point of view.” Her rambling monologue was captured by a student who recorded the class Zoom session.

Yale Continues to Censor Historical Art Behind Barricade

Yale University has refused to uncover a controversial stone carving that depicts a struggle between a Native American and a Puritan, despite promising to move it and make it available for viewing.  The School previously modified the art to remove the Puritan’s musket while leaving the Native American’s bow.
