Box Office: ‘Black Adam’ #1 with $67 Million Debut

NEW YORK (AP) — Warner Bros.’ “Black Adam” opened with an estimated $67 million, according to studio estimates Sunday, handing Dwayne Johnson his biggest box-office weekend as a leading man and launching the D.C. Comics character he spent a decade to bring to the big screen.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, a Hollywood actor, former WWE superstar, and Joe Biden backer, said it is a “humbling honor” to have people ask if he is considering launching a presidential bid, telling People magazine that he is “not a politician” but adding that such support forces him to “humbly and respectfully stand up, listen, and learn.”
