Annual Migrant Deaths in Texas County 80 Miles from Border Jumps to 26

The deaths of migrants in one Texas county located 80 miles north of the Mexican border continues to rise at an alarming rate. During the first four months of 2021, Brooks County Sheriff’s Office deputies recovered the bodies or remains of 26 deceased migrants. This compares to 34 deaths for all of 2020.

Unaccompanied children continue crossing the Mexican border into Texas as Health and Human Services struggles to accommodate the increased numbers by opening new Emergency Intake Sites. Breitbart Texas observed nearly 300 migrants illegally crossing the Rio Grande River in Roma, Texas, on Wednesday night. The groups of migrants consisted of family units and dozens of unaccompanied children looking to surrender to the few awaiting Border Patrol agents near the edge of town.

Video shot this week in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas shows firsthand, the never-ending stream of migrants illegally entering the United States. Many of the migrants shared their stories as they made their way to a receiving area set up by the Border Patrol. The migrants, depending on where they illegally enter, walk up to several miles to reach the area where they will surrender.

Large Migrant Groups Continue Pouring Across ‘Closed Border’

Border Patrol agents continue to apprehend increasing volumes of large migrant groups illegally crossing the border in the Rio Grande Valley Sector. Despite White House assurances that the southwester border is “closed,” apprehensions in March have already exceeded the entire month of February.

2K Migrants Apprehended in Single Border Sector in One Day, 34K in March

Border Patrol agents in the Texas Rio Grande Valley Sector apprehended more than 2,000 migrants who illegally crossed the border in a single day last week. A Border Patrol commander in the nation’s busiest human smuggling sector says his agents apprehended more than 34,000 migrants so far this month.

Human Smuggler Drives Truck Loaded with Migrants into Rio Grande

A smuggler drove his pickup truck loaded with migrants into the Rio Grande following a pursuit in South Texas. Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended five migrants as they swam to the U.S. riverbank from the sinking truck. The driver fled to Mexico.

REPORT: Biden Admin Flying 270 Migrants from South Texas to El Paso

The Biden Administration is flying migrants from packed Border Patrol facilities in the Rio Grande Valley Sector to El Paso, according to U.S. Representative Veronica Escobar (D-TX). Two flights carrying 270 migrants in total are expected to make the journey on Monday, a local charity group said.
