Soccer: Cerezo, Sendai promoted to top flight+
OSAKA, Nov. 8 (AP) - (Kyodo)—Takashi Inui scored four times as Cerezo Osaka thrashed Thespa Kusatsu 5-0 to earn promotion to the first division on Sunday.
Cerezo improved to 101 points at the top of the table while Vegalta Sendai will also be joining them in the top flight next season after a 4-0 win away to Mito Hollyhock.
Sendai (99) are eight points clear of third-placed Shonan Bellmare and Ventforet Kofu with three games of the season remaining and are guaranteed a top-three finish as Shonan and Kofu meet in the next round of matches.
Kofu were beaten 2-1 at Avispa Fukuoka while Shonan drew 2-2 at home to Tokyo Verdy.
