EXCLUSIVE: 26K Migrants Apprehended in Texas-Based Border Sectors in Six Days

Border Patrol agents in the five Texas-based border sectors apprehended nearly 26,000 migrants during a six-day period ending on July 9. Nearly 10,000 of those crossed into a single Texas border town. In response to the growing Texas border crisis, Governor Greg Abbott orders law enforcement and National Guard soldiers to arrest migrants and return them to the border.

EXCLUSIVE: May Migrant Apprehensions in Texas-Based Sectors Exceeds Waco’s Population

Border Patrol agents in the five Texas-based sectors apprehended nearly 138,000 migrants in May, according to a source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection. This is up by approximately 10,000 over the previous month. If the migrants apprehended in the Texas-based sectors were put into a brand new city, it would be the 25th largest city in Texas by population — greater than Waco.

Manhunt Underway for Suspect in Texas Human Smuggling Plane Crash

Authorities in the West Texas town of Presidio issued an arrest warrant for the person suspected of piloting a single-engine aircraft with five migrants on board. The plane crashed shortly after take-off from the Presidio Airport. The Presidio County Sheriff’s Office issued the warrant Saturday for Tobias Penner Peters of Seminole, Texas.

Human Smuggler Crashes Plane near West Texas Airport

Sheriff deputies from one small West Texas county found migrants smuggled via small aircraft in a departure from the typical roadways. While responding to a report of a plane crash near the Presidio International Airport, deputies discovered the passengers were migrants being smuggled away from the Mexican border.

Big Bend Sector Border Patrol agents teamed up with CBP’s Air and Marine Operations to apprehend a group of migrants attempting to use camouflage to conceal their location. The migrants attempted to conceal their location in the rocks and brush after fleeing from Border Patrol agents.

Remains of Suspected Migrant Found in West Texas Desert near Border

Deer hunters happened upon the gruesome sight of decomposing human remains as they moved through a remote desert region in West Texas on Sunday. The hunters summoned Culberson County Sheriff’s Office from Van Horn, Texas, after discovering the badly decomposed human remains lying on the desert floor.
