The White House was briefly placed on lockdown due to an “unattended package” that was found along the North Lawn fence. According to the AP, the issue has been resolved.

Both the president and vice president are away from Washington today– “the Bear is loose” in Delaware to give a speech or two about infrastructure, do some photo-ops with “the folks”, and then he’s off to New York City for two fundraisers – because there’s not much happening in the world to be concerned about, right?
Biden in Detroit where he gets to speak this afternoon to a room full of lefties attending the Netroots Nation convention.
