Immigration Now Driving Mid-Term Elections Across the Country

Republican Scott Brown has launched a new ad targeting U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen for being soft on immigration. From Alaska, to Arkansas, in Maine, New Hampshire and elsewhere, clearly the border crisis has emerged as the key driver of Election 2014.

Scott Brown’s campaign will begin airing its second immigration ad this week, once again linking the problems at the border directly to U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen.

Brown’s latest spot is below.

CBS confirms an inconvenient truth for some in Washington, the ongoing border crisis has brought the illegal immigration to a head and made it the primary focus of an increasing number of voters as we move into the Fall.

Congress left Washington last week for its month-long recess without addressing the influx of unaccompanied minors that have crossed the border into the U.S., but politicians are still talking about the issue on the campaign trail.

Two weeks ago, Republican Senate candidate Scott Brown became the first statewide candidate to address the border crisis in a campaign ad — even though he’s running for Senate in New Hampshire, thousands of miles away from the U.S.-Mexico border.
